Police along with locals rescued several persons living nearby the factory. As per the information, at least 100 homes located near the factory have been vacated to ensure the safety of people.

It is pertinent to mention here that there is a diversion near Nuapada chhak due to road construction and the service road at the spot is relatively narrow.

All the injured are from one family and hail from Bijepur in Bargarh district. On a bolero, all of them were on their way to Puri.

A six-year-old girl was killed and her father suffered critical injuries after a tractor knocked down their bike at Nidhibani Square under Bhogarai Police limits of Balasore district on Saturday.

As per reports, the driver lost control of the steering wheel and went over the footpath near the slum behind Odisha Legislative Assembly. The uncontrolled car came to a halt after hitting a wall.

A case has been registered in this connection and a manhunt was launched to nab the absconding truck driver.

A team has been rushed to the accident site near Topkhana area of Kuran-wa-Munjan district, Amiri said.
