Sandhayrani and her daughter had gone to the village pond to take a bath. When they didn’t return, Sandhyarani’s mother Mini Pradhan went to the pond to check on them.
According to a source, Padhi along with his three friends went to Huluhula gorge for a picnic. After having food, they went to the gorge to take a bath. While bathing, Padhi’s feet reportedly slipped and he drowned.
Though a trainee woman pilot, 22, was injured in the crash-landing, there are no reports of any other casualties or the number of pilots on board.
After the completion of the rituals at home, the deceased jawan’s three brothers went to the Devi River near their village to take a dip. While bathing, the trio slipped and drowned one after the other.
The intensity of the collision was so severe that both the vehicles were badly mangled.
The accident in Cuttack district claimed three lives. While the identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained, they all are known to be Class 10 students.
The accident that took place at 9.53 p.m. on Wednesday night claimed four lives and 30 were injured.
