At least 30 passengers sustained injuries after the bus they were travelling in overturned near Ganthi square under Badchana police limits in Jajpur on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Trilochan Mahanta of Ambuapada village, Ramakant Nayak of Sorasakela village and Sunil Dash of Rudhiapada village.
The victim has been identified as class 10 student Amit Das Pradhan from Kankili village. Amit’s father and another person also sustained critical injuries in the accident
At least one person was killed and 20 others sustained injuries after a bus of the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) collided head-on with a truck loaded with LPG cylinders at Takara Ghati on Khordha-Bolangir National Highway Number-57 under Daspalla Police Station limits of Nayagarh district on Saturday morning.
Locals present at the spot rescued the four youths from the car and rushed them to the DHH in an ambulance. However, two of the youths were declared dead by the doctors.
The victims were aged between 21 and 24 years. The police said that they were all students in the Greater Toronto and Montreal areas.
Around 40-45 cops were reportedly en-route to Kosagumuda from Papadahandi in a special vehicle when the mishap took place
The police said that a group of 15 people were at the site where the accident took place.
