Odishatv.in is an initiative by Odisha Television to connect netizens to the latest information about Odisha and beyond. The site is also a gateway to the state and offers a wide spectrum of subjects such as History, Demography, Art and Culture, Tourist places, Festivals, Eminent sons of soil and so on.

Bikram Keshari Jena, Chief Sub Editor

Bikram Keshari Jena has more than seven years of experience in Journalism and Research. After completing his MBA-Finance, he gained rich exposure in business journalism while working as a Research Associate and subsequently as an Assistant Editor of leading business magazine – Business & Economy. In the field of research, he boasts of experience in Equity Research and Financial Modelling while working with Citigroup and a KPO. He has worked as a Senior Sub-Editor for The Political and Business Daily and was in the editorial team of a leading news portal. He has diverse editorial exposure spanning across print, digital, electronic & new media.

Vikash Kumar Sharma, Chief Sub Editor

Vikash Kumar Sharma has an experience of working in both print and electronic media for over 10 years. He has worked as senior reporter with The Telegraph and few tabloids. As freelancer also he has done few short stories and documentaries.

Pradeep Singh, Senior Sub Editor

Pradeep began his professional career with The Pioneer. He has worked for several news organisations prior to working with Odishatv.in. He was with Contify as Copy Editor; he was also CE for Movie News Guide & Tripped Media of Tune Media (IBTimes). He has been writing regularly on several topics ranging from politics and social issues to crime.

Devbrat Patnaik, Senior Sub Editor

Devbrat Patnaik joined OTV digital team as Content Writer for its online portal in February 2017. He has been developing content and reporting on various issues and current affairs. He began his career with the print medium as the Copy editor-cum-Reporter for Pioneer, Bhubaneswar. A Masters in JMC from Berhampur University, he is a passionate singer armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Hindustani Classical vocal. He has received National Cultural Proficiency and various State-level championship awards. A basketball player, he has led Berhampur University team at the National level.

Rashmi Ranjan Mohanty, Senior Sub Editor

With more than seven years of experience in the field of journalism, Rashmi, a Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication from Ravenshaw University, started his career as a city journalist with The Times of India in 2013. Later, he joined Contify and then odishatv.in before moving to Delhi to work with Zee Media Corporation Limited. Prior to his second innings with odishatv.in now, Rashmi worked with ETV Bharat in Hyderabad and was assigned with the task to look after the international desk. A dog lover and passionate cricket player, Rashmi has a keen interest in international affairs, politics and cricket.

Ramakanta Biswas, Senior Sub-Editor

Ramakanta has over six years of experience in the field of journalism. A masters in Journalism & Mass Communication from AMIT College (Utkal University), he started his career as a sub-editor in English daily Orissa Post in 2013. He also worked as head of English news portal of Pragativadi before joining Odisha Television Limited (digital). He has been writing on topics like politics, crime & social issues.

Suryakant Jena, Sub Editor

Suryakant Jena has nearly one and half years of experience in the field of journalism. He started his career as a content executive for media start up Media Research and Development Studies, writing for website of PrameyaNews 7 channel and later joined Pragativadi where he worked as a Sub-Editor for its website before joining odishatv.in.

Sarmeeli Mallick, Sub Editor

Sarmeeli started her career with the ‘Media Research and Development Studies’, Bhubaneswar where she wrote news contents for websites like Prameya News 7, News Odisha and Woman Odisha. An alumnus of the 2014-16 batch of Utkal University, she has also worked with the Assam Tribune, Guwahati and Naxatra News, Bhubaneswar as an intern.

Mrunal Manmay Dash, Sub-editor

Mrunal holds a Masters Degree in English literature from Ravenshaw University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from IIMS Pune. Following his PGDM, he went on to work in sales and marketing departments of various organisations for 6-7 years before settling down to become a content writer in a software company in Bhubaneswar. He has been writing on subjects ranging from technical to socio-political issues. Currently working as a sub-editor since one year, Mrunal’s interests include riding sports bikes and taking solo road trips.

Nitesh Kumar Sahoo, Sub-editor

A senior content writer with a demonstrated history of working in the writing and editing industry in diverse fields for over 5 years, both as a freelancer and on full time basis, Nitesh has also authored a novel An Eclipse of Yesteryear. With a passion for the entertainment industry, he has also directed short films and several music videos.

Poonam Singh, Sub-Editor

After completing her Masters in JMC from Ravenshaw University, Poonam worked as news content writer at ‘Media Research and Development Studies’, Bhubaneswar. Later she worked with an IT firm, ‘Manoroma Web Solutions Pvt. Ltd’ as a content writer before joining odishatv.in

Dipti Ranjan Das, Sub editor-cum-reporter

Passionate about Journalism and wanting to explore the North-East, Dipti Ranjan Das studied Masters in Journalism & Mass Communication at the Central University of Sikkim. Believing his obligation towards Odisha, he decided to pursue journalism in his state. After his internship at The Times of India, he reported for OrissaPOST in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela for nearly 2-years after which he joined odishatv.in . He specialises in new media and ardent about documentary making.
