The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday stated that there would be no major change in the minimum (night) temperature at several places over the districts of Odisha during the next 3-4 days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday informed that hot and humid weather conditions during the daytime over some parts of coastal Odisha are very likely to continue till tomorrow.

As per the IMD, isolated to scattered light/moderate rainfall is very likely accompanied with thunderstorms and lightning over Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh during February 20th -22nd.

A yellow warning for dense fog has been issued for several districts in Odisha on Tuesday.

Even though the early winter chill has almost faded away, the dense fog conditions created many problems, especially for the movement of vehicular traffic.

Some districts of the state are also likely to experience light to moderate rain/thundershower activities on Basant Panchami tomorrow.

As per the IMD, the minimum temperature (night temperature) is likely to rise gradually by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, and no large change thereafter.

Fall in minimum temperatures by 2-3°C very likely over many parts of Northwest, East and Central India during next 3 days and no significant change thereafter.

The IMD further informed that there will be no large change in the minimum temperature during the next 4-5 days at many places over the districts of Odisha.

As per the Bhubaneswar Met Centre, there will be no major change in minimum temperature (night temperature) during the next 4-5 days at many places over the districts of Odisha.

Another western disturbance is likely to affect Northwest India from February 3, 2024.

As per IMD, isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall is also likely over Kashmir valley, Himachal Pradesh on January 31 and February 1 and Uttarakhand on January 31 under its influence.

The weather agency has also issued a yellow warning for dense fog in several parts of Odisha for the next 48 hours.

Cold wave conditions are likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, and Angul in the next 24 hours.
