The winter chill is gradually fading away in Odisha, even though dense fog conditions are prevailing in some pockets. Already several parts of the state have started to register a rise in the minimum (night) temperature.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday said that there will be no large change in the minimum temperature at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next 4-5 days. However, there is a possibility of rain or thundershower activities in some parts of the state in the coming days.

A yellow warning for dense fog has been issued for several districts in Odisha on Tuesday.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Khordha, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Boudh, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Kendrapara, Ganjam.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 22.02.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 23.02.2024)

Light rain/thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore.

Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 23.02.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 24.02.2024)

Light rain/thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Dhenkanal

Day 6 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.02.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 25.02.2024)

Light rain/thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Khordha, Puri, Ganjam, Angul, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj,Keonjhar, Nayagarh.

Day 7 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 25.02.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 26.02.2024)

Light rain/thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Kandhamal, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack
