The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for dense fog in several districts of Odisha in the next 24 hours. Apart from this, some districts of the state are also likely to experience light to moderate rain/thundershower activities on Basant Panchami tomorrow.

“There will be no large change in the minimum temperature (night temperature) during the next 4-5 days at many places over the districts of Odisha,” said IMD.

Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 14.02.2024)

Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Khordha, Puri, Nayagarh, Kandhamal.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 14.02.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 15.02.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda,Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Bargarh.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Kandhamal, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Rayagada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 15.02.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 16.02.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of North Odisha, Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khordha, Puri, Ganjam.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 16.02.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 17.02.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur.
