It is now official that winter has faded away in Odisha and people have already started to feel the pinch of sultry weather conditions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday informed that hot and humid weather conditions during the daytime over some parts of coastal Odisha are very likely to continue till tomorrow.

“Bhubaneswar recorded 32 degree Celsius by 9:30 am today. The coastal Odisha and other parts will experience a rise in the maximum temperature by 2 to 3 degree Celsius. Such conditions will prevail for the next two days,” said IMD Bhubaneswar Scientist, Uma Shankar Dash.

According to Dash, there is forecast of rainfall activities in different parts of the state till February 26, 2024. This is likely to bring maximum temperature down to some extent. However, there will be no change in the minimum (night) temperature in different parts of Odisha, he said.

It is pertinent to mention here that Bhubaneswar had recorded maximum temperature of 37 degree C on Tuesday, followed by 36 degrees in Boudh and Bhawanipatna recorded a maximum temperature of 35.6 degree C yesterday.
