Soon the winter chill might fade away from Odisha as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a rise in the minimum (night) temperature.

As per IMD’s latest forecast, the minimum temperature is very likely to rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius during the next two days at many places and no large change is expected thereafter. The weather agency has also issued a yellow warning for dense fog in several parts of Odisha for the next 48 hours.

Apart from this, several parts of the state are also likely to experience rainfall activities as well.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Angul, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Boudh, Keonjhar, Deogarh.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 30.01.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 31.01.2024)

Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Cuttack, Khurda, Angul, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Boudh.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 31.01.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 01.02.2024)

Dry weather very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 01.02.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 02.02.2024)

Light rain/thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar ,Mayurbhanj.

Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 02.02.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 03.02.2024)

Light rain/thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj,Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Angul.
