The anti-corruption agency has detected assets worth over Rs 2 crore following searches at the properties and establishments linked to Nayak at six places in Cuttack, Puri, Jharsuguda, and Ganjam districts.

The raids began on Friday following allegations that Patra has acquired assets which are disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Senior officials of the anti-corruption wing said that simultaneous searches were conducted at six places linked to the official in Khordha, Gajapati, Ganjam and Koraput districts.

The recovery of Rs 1.13 crore cash from a government servant’s residence is one of the biggest cash seizures made by the Vigilance directorate so far. Sources said the unaccounted cash was stashed in three to four bags inside the doctor's residence.

A day after arresting millionaire Additional Superintendent Police (ASP) Trinath Mishra in a DA case on Tuesday, the Odisha Vigillance on Wednesday said that the policeman’s possessions are 500 per cent more than his known sources of income.

Simultaneous searches were conducted over the properties linked to the ADM over the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by the government servant.

The searches were conducted on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance in Bhubaneswar, informed Odisha Vigilance.

Assistant Civil Supplies Officer (ACSO) of Nuapada district, Ratnakar Sethy was arrested on Thursday by the State Vigilance department for allegedly amassing property disproportionate to his known sources of income.

A teacher reportedly owning assets worth over a whopping Rs 4.73 crore has ended up landing under the scanner of Odisha Vigilance authorities for accumulating the wealth through illegal means.

The searches are currently underway by several Vigilance teams comprising 9 DSPs, 5 Inspectors, 5 ASIs and other personnel at seven different locations including residence and other properties associated with the constable.

Subsequently, simultaneous raids were conducted by the teams of the anti-corruption agency on properties of Sushama including her residence and office in Nabarangpur and Bhawanipatna.

Another Police Constable has come under the Vigilance scanner, this time from Berhampur.

Meanwhile, a Vigilance team has brought Das to his Bargarh, Britt Colony residence in the Capital City where his one more property is likely to be searched today.

Vigilance sleuths on Thursday (Nov 25), conducted raids at various places linked to an Assistant Engineer of the ITDA (Integrated Tribal Development Agency) at Baripada on charges of accumulating assets disproportionate to his income.

Officials of Odisha Vigilance on Thursday conducted raids at the residence, office and some locations related to Santosh Kumar Das, Assistant Engineer of Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) at Baripada in Mayurbhanj district, on charges of building up wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
