Properties in Bhubaneswar, Puri, Angul, Cuttack, and Bolangir were searched by teams comprising multiple high-ranking officers. Important documents were seized during the ongoing investigations.

Senior Vigilance officials informed that Rs 3,08,750 cash, 336 grams of gold were recovered from the rented house in Talcher and Rs 10 lakh from Behera’s house at Astarang. The total cash seizure from Behera stands at Rs 24.24 lakh.
On Tuesday, the Vigilance had informed that Behera was in possession of 31 plots, including 10 benami plots in prime locations of Bhubaneswar.
As per initial reports, the searches are being conducted by 10 DSPs, 6 inspectors on the basis on search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance (Bhubaneswar).
The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Friday arrested Chief Civil Supplies Officer (CCSO) Prashanta Kumar Gantayat on the charges of accumulating Disproportionate Assets (DA) in Bhubaneswar.
As per reports, simultaneous house searches were conducted by the Odisha Vigilance led by eight DSPs, five Inspectors, and other staff in Bhubaneswar at eight places linked to Gantayat in Bhubaneswar and Ganjam.
The sleuths of the Odisha Vigilance Department on Tuesday arrested the Revenue Inspector (RI) and a peon of Lamtaput RI office under Macchkund tehsil in Koraput district for accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 for land demarcation.
Both Mahapatra and Samal were arrested earlier in September, 2023 by Sambalpur Police for forgery and issue of fake approval letters of building plans to applicants.
As per the latest report, three multi-storeyed buildings, 16 plots in prime area of puri district, deposits of Rs 50 lakhs, three costly four wheelers, along with other assets were unearthed during the search operation.
Till the time of filing of this report, simultaneous house searches were being carried out by the Odisha Vigilance officials on the basis of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
At least 50 different bank accounts have been seized during the raid along with a huge cache of jewellery and land and apartment documents.
