The Odisha Vigilance detected Rs 3 lakh, fixed deposits of over Rs 1 crore and other immovable assets following a raid at the residence of the Additional District Magistrate, Sundargarh, Biswajit Mohapatra on Friday.
Simultaneous searches were conducted over the properties linked to the ADM over the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by the government servant.
The searches are currently underway at Mohapatra's residential house located at Rudrapur, Balianta, flat at Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar, house in native village Redhua, relatives’ house at Jadatira in Jagatsinghpur, official residence at Sundargarh town, Official chamber at Sundargarh Collectorate and residential accommodation of a relative located at OCL campus in Rajgangpur.
Findings So Far
-Cash over Rs 3 lakhs
- One double storied building at Naharkanta, Bhubaneswar worth about Rs. 89 lakhs.
-One flat at Asiana, Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar.
-Over Rs 2 Crores found in Bank FDs, Savings Accounts and Insurance Premiums.
-Gold weighing 350 gm recovered.
- Rs 18 lakh deposited in Mutual funds.
-Rs 2 lakh in NPS.
-10 Plots In Bhubaneswar and Jagatsinghpur district. Details as under:
-Plot located at Naharkanta College Road, Bhubaneswar (measuring area 5000 sqft. approx).
-Plot at Mouza Johala, Balianta, Bhubaneswar (Area A0.850 decimals)
-Plot at Mouza- Uttamundmuhan, Jatani, Khurda (measuring Area A0.930 decimals.)
-Plot at Raghunathpur, Jagatsinghpur (measuring Area A0.77 decimals).
-Plot at Jagannathpur (measuring Area A0.14 decimals)
-Plot at Jagannathpur (measuring Area A0.06 decimals)
- Plot at Jagannathpur (Area A0.37 decimals)

Apart from this, Mohapatra had recently started Cement business in the name of his wife near his house in Balianta in Bhubaneswar. As per reports, the Finance Wing of the Vigilance is carrying out valuation of Cement stocks at the godown.
