Odisha Pollution Control Board Chief Engineer In Vigilance Net

The Odisha Vigilance on Thursday raided the houses and other properties linked to Rabi Narayana Prusty, Chief Engineer of the Odisha State Pollution Control Board in Bhubaneswar following allegations pertaining to accumulation of disproportionate assets.

As per reports, a Vigilance team led by 8 deputy superintendents of police (DySPs), 4 Inspectors, 5 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) and other staff conducted simultaneous searches at six places in Bhubaneswar and one in Ganjam district linked to the government servant.

Raids were conducted at Prusty’s residential flat located at Kalvik King Palace at Patia, a flat at Gajapati Palace in Jagmohan Nagar at Jagamara, shop at Barabhuja market complex in Khandagiri, a relative's house at Shreeram Vihar in Nayapalli, another flat located at Shreekhestra Bhakta Niwas and office chamber at OSPCB office in the Capital City, informed Odisha Vigilance.

The Vigilance team also searched Prusty’s house at his native place in Nuapada village under Nuagaon Police Station limits of Ganjam district.

The searches were conducted on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance in Bhubaneswar, informed Odisha Vigilance.

As raids were still on till last reports came in, the exact amount of disproportionate assets recovered from the searches could not be ascertained.
