Asst Engineer In Sunabeda NAC Under Vigilance Scanner

The Vigilance department on Friday conducted simultaneous searches at the premises and other properties associated with Manoj Kumar Patra, who is posted as Assistant Engineer in Sunabeda NAC.

The raids were conducted following allegations that Patra has acquired assets which are disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Senior officials of the anti-corruption wing said that simultaneous searches were conducted at six places linked to the official in Khordha, Gajapati, Ganjam and Koraput districts.

During searches, the following assets have been recovered in the name of Patra and his spouse so far:

- 3 BHK flat at Pokhariput, Bhubaneswar worth about Rs 80 lakh.

- Two storeyed building at Berhampur worth around Rs 50.57 lakh as per preliminary estimate. Vigilance Technical Wing to carry out detailed measurement and valuation.

- 7 plots including 1 plot in Bhubaneswar and 3 each in Berhampur and Koraput

- Fixed deposits and Bank deposits- Rs 28.75 lakh.

-1 four wheeler (Hyundai Venue) worth Rs 12.88 lakh

- 1 two wheeler (TVS Jupiter)- Rs 59, 447
