Upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 to be held in the West Indies and USA is just round the corner. Meanwhile, experts and fans are eagerly waiting for the selection of the Indian team for the marquee event.

Indian team for the mega event will be selected based on the performances of the players in the first half of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Many experts are of the opinion that star all-rounder and Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya will not be selected in the Indian team due to his poor form in the ongoing IPL.

However, reports published in some sections of media suggest that there is no like-for-like replacement for Hardik. Though Chennai Super Kings’ all-rounder Shivam Dube has shown brilliant form in the IPL 2024 campaign, the team’s reluctance to use him as a bowler is likely to work in Hardik’s favour.

As per the reports, star all-rounder Hardik is likely to make it to India’s 15-member squad for the World Cup as there is no alternative for him. Hardik’s batting prowess, scoring runs at a strike of 132, and also the fact that he is a very good all-round fielder are also expected to work in his favour.
