When empathy ends! Truck driver deliberately runs over cow in Jajpur

How cruel can human beings become? How indifferent to life? These disturbing questions are being asked in Jajpur after a horrifying act of brutality was caught on CCTV in Mukhundapur village under Jenapur police limits.

In the chilling footage, a truck driver is seen deliberately steering his vehicle over a cow lying by the roadside. This was no accident; the driver slowed, aimed, and then drove the heavy truck straight over the helpless animal before fleeing the spot. The cow died instantly.

The visuals are so disturbing that many locals said they could not bring themselves to watch the entire clip. The incident has triggered widespread anger, with villagers demanding strict action against the driver.

What many found most disturbing was not just the death of the cow, but the intent behind it. Was the animal’s only fault that it lay on the road? Could the driver not have slowed down, waited, or taken another route? Was cruelty the only option chosen?

Till the last report came in, the police officials had seized the truck. However, the driver, who is said to be a resident of the locality, is still at large. Meanwhile, the locals have been demanding the immediate arrest of the inhumane driver.
