FTBI at NIT Rourkela bags prestigious Bharat Incubator Award 2025 in New Delhi

The Foundation for Technology & Business Incubation (FTBI) at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela has been honoured with the coveted Bharat Incubator Award 2025 at the 4th Bharat Entrepreneurship Summit held in New Delhi on Saturday.

The award, instituted by the Entrepreneurs Association of India, was presented at the NDMC Convention Centre by Shri Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Hon’ble Minister of Industries, Food & Supplies and Environment, Forest & Wildlife, Government of NCT of Delhi. Prof. Subrata Kumar Panda, President of FTBI, and CEO Chiranjibi Samal received the award on behalf of the institute.

FTBI was one of only six incubators across the country to be recognised for its contribution to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup growth. The summit witnessed the participation of ministry officials, industry leaders, and delegates from across India.

Expressing gratitude, Prof. Panda acknowledged the collective support of stakeholders, while Mr. Samal dedicated the award to the tireless efforts of startups, mentors, and partners associated with FTBI.

Congratulating the team, NIT Rourkela Director Prof. K. Umamaheswar Rao said the recognition reaffirms the institute’s commitment to nurturing innovators and strengthening India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
