As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in several parts of the state during the period as well.
At present, a cyclonic circulation lies over northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal off south Odisha north Andhra Pradesh coasts.
As per IMD, the active monsoon conditions over central India and along west coast are likely to continue during the next five days.
As per the forecast, heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Boudh in the next 24 hours.

The IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar has also issued a ‘yellow warning’ for heavy rainfall and thunderstorm till July 5, 2022.
