Several parts of India are experiencing heavy rainfall activities as the monsoon trough is active, said India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday.

As per IMD, the active monsoon conditions over central India and along west coast are likely to continue during the next five days.

Similarly, rainfall activities are likely to increase over Northwest India from July 8 to 10, the IMD added.

Rainfall/thunderstorm warning:

Widespread rainfall and thunderstorm/lightning with isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka during the next five days.

Isolated very heavy rainfall is very likely over Gujarat region during July 8-11. Scattered heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy rainfall is also likely over Konkan & Goa during next five days and isolated extremely heavy rainfall likely over Telangana on July 9.

Isolated/scattered rainfall activity is very likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal during next five days with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall also likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal on July 7 and heavy rainfall on July 8, 2022.

Isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan & Muzaffarabad on July 8-9 and over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand on July 7 and July 10, 2022.

Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is also likely over Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand on July 8 and 9 and extremely heavy falls also very likely over Uttarakhand on July 9, 2022
