Several parts of Odisha will experience enhanced monsoon rainfall activities during the next four to five days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted heavy rainfall in some parts of the State.

The IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar has also issued a ‘yellow warning’ for heavy rainfall and thunderstorm till July 5, 2022.

As per the forecast, heavy rainfall is likely in over 10 districts of the state in the next 24 hours.

Weather forecast and warning for districts of Odisha: Day-1 (valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 01.07.2022)

Yellow warning (be updated): Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khordha, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 01.07.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 02.07.2022)

Yellow warning (be updated): Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Boudh, Kandhamal.

Yellow warning (be updated): Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur.

Day-4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 03.07.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 04.07.2022)

Yellow warning (be updated): Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh,Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Bargarh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Nuapada.

Day-5 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 04.07.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 05.07.2022)

Yellow warning (be updated): Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Boudh, Angul, Kandhamal .

Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Kendrapara Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Nayagarh,Sambalpur, Bargarh.
