Bhadrak is a city of Odisha state in eastern India. It came into existence on 1 April 1993. According to legend, the city derives its name from the Goddess Bhadrakali whose temple is on the banks of the Salandi River. Dhamra, one of the deep draft ports of India which can accommodate super cape-size vessels is situated in Bhadrak. Bhadrak is also famous for Palua Ladu, special kind of sweet.
Moreover, some beneficiaries were also seen dragging the Supplies Inspector on the road. However, a scuffle broke out between Police and women beneficiaries when the cops tried to rescue the Supplies Inspector. Police have detained two persons in this connection.
The names of the teachers are- Sashi Sekhar Karsharma, Headmaster of Kenduapada Government High School under Bhadrak’s Bonth block and Subash Chandra Rout, a retired teacher from Jagatsinghpur.
The only respite is the fact that the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a sharp drop in rainfall activities in different parts of Odisha from today.

Accused Umesh Nayak is a resident of Bant area and was staying at Kushagadia village for the last three years. Nayak would return home in a drunken state over which the couple had frequent quarrels.
According to Vigilance sources, Parida was accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000 from a complainant to help him and his mother in a land dispute case, through a middleman identified as Amareswar Nayak.
As per reports, the collapsed portion was first seen by some locals on Tuesday morning after which, they alerted the Highway Patrol which arrived at the spot.
