The much-awaited silver cladding work at the Baba Akhandalamani shrine in Bhadrak has concluded.

As per reports, the Bhadrak Gujarati Mahasangha donated 126 kilograms of silver to the temple. A group of silversmiths in Kolkata was entrusted with the job of preparing the frames. After five months, it reached the temple on Tuesday.

As the deity’s Maha Shivaratri festival will be observed on coming Friday, the priests insisted on fixing the frames ahead of the festival. So, a puja was performed to consecrate the frame. Then they were taken into the sanctum sanctorum and fixed on the idol’s ‘shakti’ and ‘linga’.
