The State detected 1,148 positive cases, including 244 cases between 0 and 18 years age category, in the last 24 hours.
The active cases in the State now stood at 13,285 while 12,53,914 patients have recovered from the disease so far, added I&PR Department.
A total of 2,82,93,841 samples, including 68,239 in the past 24 hours, have been tested in the State so far. The daily Test Positivity Rate (TPR) now stands at 2.30 per cent.
Odisha is likely to be in a better position by next month and hospitalisation rate has also decreased to 8-9 per cent, said Bijay Mohapatra, Director, Health Services, Odisha.
With this, the cumulative Covid-19 positive tally in the State has surged to 12,59,405 while a total of 12,15,380 people have recovered from the infection so far.
On Tuesday, as many as 3,086 cases, including 454 from 0 to 18 years age group, were detected pushing the positive tally to 12,52,326, said a count released by the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department.
With this, the cumulative Covid-19 positive tally in the State has surged to 12,45,911 while a total of 11,84,174 people have recovered from the infection so far.
A total of 2,74,43,759 samples have been tested, 61,635 in the last 24 hours, in the State so far. The daily test positivity rate stood at 8.2 percent.
n terms of fatalities, three deaths were reported from Sundargarh district while one each from Balasore, Khordha (Bhubaneswar), Keonjhar, Koraput and Rayagada districts, informed the Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department.
The active cases in the State stood at 88,346 and a total of 10,80,562 people recuperated from the disease, including 6,785 on Wednesday, till date, as per the State Health and Family Welfare Department.
Khurda district, which includes the state capital Bhubaneswar reported the highest number of new cases at 4,347, followed by Sundargarh at 1,219, Cuttack at 898 and Sambalpur at 390.

With this, the cumulative Covid-19 positive tally in the State has surged to 11,44,401 so far while the death toll has gone up to 8,484. A total of 10,60,067 people have recovered from the infection. The active cases have now gone up to 75,797.
Odisha so far has tested 26,479,398 samples, including 75,731 in the last 24 hours, for Covid-19 while the test positivity rate stood 13.5 per cent in the State.

With this, the Covid-19 positive tally in the State has surged to 10,91,547 while a total of 10,47,783 people have recovered from the virus infection. The active cases have gone up to 35,242.
With this, active cases in Odisha stood at 20,560. So far, 10,46,617 Covid-19 infected have recovered in the State since the outbreak of the pandemic.
Odisha so far has tested 2,59,63,037 samples, including 68, 970 in the last 24 hours, for Covid-19. The positivity rate in the State has now jumped to 3.92 per cent.
Odisha had last crossed the 1000-mark in a single day with 1,041 cases on August 18, 2021, as per the data revealed by the State Information and Public Relations Department (I&PR).
Of the total new positives, the maximum 177 cases were detected from Khordha, followed by 45 from Cuttack, 38 from Sundargarh, 15 from Jharsuguda. The lone death case from the virus infection was reported from Khordha district.
Khurda, where Bhubaneswar is located, reported the maximum number of fresh cases at 119, followed by 35 in Cuttack. Thirty-three children are among those newly afflicted with the disease.
Of the 318 new cases, 186 were from quarantine centres while the remaining 132 were local contacts. Khurda district of which Bhubaneswar is a part, recorded the highest of 139 cases, followed by Cuttack (31).
There are 4,734 active COVID-19 cases, including 2,088 in Khurda, while the infection tally mounted to 10.41 lakh. As many as 490 more people recuperated, taking the number of recoveries to 10.29 lakh.
The Health and Family Welfare department informed that the state during the last 24 hours has reported four fresh deaths which pushed Odisha's COVID-19 fatalities to 8,242. The latest COVID deaths have been reported from Nabarangpur (2), Jagatsinghpur (1) and Bolangir (1).
The state now has 5,513 active COVID-19 cases while 10,12,116 patients including 634 on Tuesday have so far recovered from the highly infectious disease.
With this, the active cases in the State increased to 31,231 while 8,77,540 patients recovered, including 3,233 on Wednesday, from the disease so far.
The number of deaths due to Covid-19 continues unabated with 37 more patients succumbing to the virus in Odisha in the last 24 hours even as new infection dropped significantly to 3806 in the State.
