Odisha on Thursday reported 10,368 new Covid-19 cases, including 1,090 cases from 0-18 age group, and seven deaths, informed the State Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department.
With this, the cumulative positive tally in the State rose to 11,77,462 while the death toll surged to 8,501 in the State, added the I&PR Department.

Out of the total cases reported today, 6,015 were detected in quarantine while 4,353 are local contact cases.
Khurda district, which includes the state capital Bhubaneswar reported the highest number of new cases at 3,036, followed by Sundargarh at 1,505 and Cuttack at 940.

In terms of death, five fatalities were reported from Khordha district (four in Bhubaneswar), while one each death was reported from Sambalpur and Gajam districts, respectively, informed the State Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department.

1.A 84 years old Male of Bhubaneswar.
2.A 64 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension.
The active cases in the State stood at 88,346 and a total of 10,80,562 people recuperated from the disease, including 6,785 on Wednesday, till date, as per the State Health and Family Welfare Department.
On Wednesday recorded 11,607 new Covid-19 cases, including 991 cases from 0-18 age groupOdisha so far has tested 2,69,16,297 samples, including 74,234 in the last 24 hours, for Covid-19. The daily test positivity rate, however, declined to 13.97 per cent from 16.7 the previous day.
