IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar said, “ An upper air cyclonic circulation likely to form over South Andaman Sea and neighbourhood on April 6.
The maximum temperature is very likely to rise by 2 to 3 degree Celsius during the next three days. It will be above normal by 3 to 5 degrees at many places over several districts of Odisha during the next three 3 to 4 days.
On April 7, as many as 12 districts in the State are predicted to record a maximum temperature of over 42 deg C
As per IMD, there will be no large change in the maximum temperature (Day Temperature) during next two days over the districts of Odisha.
The weather bureau also said there will be no large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) over the districts of Odisha during next 4 to 5 days.
The CAPE value in Bhubaneswar will breach the 2000J/Kg level on March 20 which may trigger a thunderstorm
As per the latest forecast, one or two places over the districts of north coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul and Dhenkanal are likely to experience light rain or thundershower activities.
As per IMD, several parts of the State- Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Sundergarh, Sambalpur and Kandhamal- experienced lightning in the past 24 hours.
Though there will be no major change in the minimum (night) temperature, several districts will experience light to moderate rainfall activities from today.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorm activities in different districts of the State from February 24 onwards.
As per IMD, there will be no large change in the minimum temperature (night temperature) during next 4 to 5 days over the districts of Odisha.
The whole of the State, except Mayurbhanj, is predicted to record maximum day time temperature hovering over 37 deg C from March 10 onwards
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said a trough runs from east Bihar to east Vidarbha across Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh at 0.9 km above mean sea level. However, the cyclonic circulation over Madhya Maharashtra and neighbourhood has become less marked.
As per the latest IMD weather forecast, light to moderate rain and thundershower activities are likely to occur in different parts of the State in the next 48 hours.
As per IMD, the minimum temperature is very likely to rise gradually by 3 to 5 degree Celsius during the next three days.
