"We will conduct a detailed investigation to reach out the root cause behind the accident and we will take necessary steps to ensure that such an accident will not reoccur in future," Vaishnaw said.
Besides this, the Southern Railway will run a special train from Chennai for the family of the victims to reach the accident site. The train will depart from Chennai Central railway station at 7.20 p.m. to Bhadrok in Odisha.
A senior state government official said that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had personally instructed Chief Secretary H.K. Dwivedi to send the team to the accident spot and help the people from West Bengal who were travelling.

As per reports, the bus was on its way to Raipur from Berhampur when the mishap occurred. All the passengers of the bus were reportedly unhurt.

A fisherman in a country boat had sailed into the Satiguda reservoir to catch fish. Similarly, a woman and his son had also gone to the reservoir in another boat.
