Ahead of the Odisha Elections 2024 vote counting, BJP, BJD, and Congress express strong confidence in winning.
In Odisha, a stringent three-layer security protocol will be enforced at vote counting centers for 21 Parliamentary and 147 Assembly constituencies.
To ward off such tragic and untoward incidents, district and police administration restricted victory processions, the use of DJ music and bursting of crackers as part of preventive measures.
Dharmasala and Kuakhia police registered cases against over 100 people in two cases. Dharmasala Police arrested six persons while Kuakhia police arrested 14 persons. All the accused were produced in court.

In Bhadrak, Odisha, 10 Congress supporters were injured after an alleged attack by BJD workers post-poll at Basudevpur. The incident involved weapons and occurred amidst accusations of forced voting and threats at booth number 236.
Tension escalated in Morada, Mayurbhanj after BJP workers were allegedly attacked by BJD members. BJP MLA candidate Krushna Chandra Mohapatra staged a night-long dharna, causing disruptions at polling booth 190.
The victim's son Kunjaban Swain alleged, "My father was standing on the roadside. BJD leader Amar Parida ran his vehicle over my father. Some BJD leaders had earlier indulged in booth rigging and when I objected, they had beaten me.”
According to the Exit Poll conducted by India TV, the BJP is expected to get 15-17 Lok Sabha seats out of 21, while 4-6 seats would go to the kitty of the BJD and Congress is expected to win one seat.
As soon as the BJD nominee reached booth-66 in Antia panchayat, supporters of Independent candidate Himansu Sahoo and other parties who had queued up for voting allegedly started shouting at the BJD leader and opposed his presence.
Abhisekh Panda, an injured worker said, “Our booth agent Sanjay Rout had gone and when we asked why the booth was being captured, they locked us inside and assaulted us. Though some police personnel were present, they remained mute spectators.
