At a presser here on Wednesday, senior BJP leader Bhartruhari Mahtab said, “Those officers who have miutilised power and harassed the people Odisha will not be spared. This will not be ‘witch hunting’ rather appropriate legal and disciplinary action will be taken.

BJP VP Baijayant Panda highlighted alleged elder abuse of Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, claiming manipulation by BJD leader VK Pandian. Amidst a viral deepfake video, Panda urged to end this 'puppeteer' influence. Assam CM also criticized Pandian's control over Patnaik.

The Assam CM said,"The BJP has crossed the 50 Assembly seat-mark in the elections held to date. In the elections to be held on June 1, the BJP would surpass the 75-seat mark which would be decisive for government formation in Odisha.” 

The ECI has also directed a detailed medical examination of Ashish Kumar Singh, IG (CM Security), who has been on medical leave since May 4.  

In the video, MLA Jagdev can be seen standing away from the EVM which toppled when some others were found milling around it.    

The people of Tarkoi were upset over the drinking water problem. As the Minister visited the village in the evening, some locals raised their voices over the problem. They surrounded the vehicle of the Minister for some time, leading a scuffle with his supporters.

BJP MLA candidate for the Nimapara Assembly seat, Pravati Parida filed a written complaint with the BDO in this regard, seeking an investigation and action against the three.

BJP leader Pradip Purohit accused the BJD of cheating Odisha's farmers, citing unfulfilled promises like marriage assistance and incomplete cold storages. He highlighted his party's commitments to enhance farmers' incomes and infrastructure if elected.

Odisha's Chief Electoral Officer ordered an investigation against Chhendipada MLA Sushant Behera for allegedly attacking a BJP worker during polling in Angul district. The CEO demands a report within 24 hours following viral video evidence of the altercation.

Ahead of the fourth and final phase of elections in Odisha slated on June 1, the BJD is reportedly tense over defending its stronghold in the coastal region against a rising BJP. After Nimapara MLA Samir Dash joined the BJP, the BJD has sent 16 leaders as observers to counter his influence in the Assembly seat.
