“I came here to meet one of my friends. At Totapada, some BJD workers were there. They were in an inebriated state. They first targeted my vehicle and then asked me to get down. They not only beat us but also snatched my chain and cash of around Rs 20,000. I have lodged a police complaint,” said Subash.

“BJD is resorting to hooliganism. This indicates their hopelessness. They are aware that they are going to lose. This is why they are doing such things. We will protest strongly,” said Pratap Sarangi, BJP MP.

No reactions were received from the police or BJD.
