Bargarh is a district on the Western border of Odisha connecting to Chhattisgarh. Prior to 1992; it was a subdivision of Sambalpur district. Bargarh is well known for the quality and Unique designed Cotton Sambalpuri handloom textile products that have wide demand in India and abroad. It is also famous for Dhanuyatra, the largest open air theater in the world. Debrigarh wild life Sanctuary which has miscellaneous forest fringing the Hirakud reservoir and is an abode of Tiger, Leopard, Gaur, Sambar, Spotted deer and Chowsingha is in Bargarh district.
