The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted thunderstorm and lightning in several parts of Odisha in the next 24 hours.

As per IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar, the maximum temperature at few places in Odisha is likely to be above normal by 3 to 4 degrees in the next two days. However, there will be a gradual decrease in the maximum temperature thereafter.

IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar has predicted thunderstorm activities in several parts of the State till June 17.

The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar on Saturday predicted thunderstorm activities in several parts of Odisha.

As per IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar, the heatwave conditions will prevail in parts of Bolangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Kalahandi, Nuapada districts in the next 24 hours.

Even though there will be no considerable change in the maximum temperature (day temperature), several parts of Odisha will experience thunderstorm activities during the next 4 to 5 days.

As per IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar, a yellow warning for thunderstorm and lightning has been issued for the districts- Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur and Gajapati.

As per IMD, thunderstorm with lightning is also likely to occur at several parts of the State and a ‘Yellow Warning’ has been issued in this regard.

The districts are expected to witness rainfall under the influence of a cyclonic circulation which is lying over south Bangladesh and adjoining North Bay of Bengal, the IMD predicted.

As per IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar, thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur in several parts of the State starting from today. A ‘Yellow Warning’ has also been issued in this regard.

As per IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar, the thunderstorm activities will continue in several parts of the State till June 3. However, the yellow alert will remain valid for next 48 hours.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday predicted that rain and thunderstorm activities will prevail in several parts of the State till June 1.

As per IMD, the cyclonic circulation over coastal Odisha and neighbourhood extending upto 2.1 km above mean sea level has become less marked.

As per IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar, light to moderate rain/ thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Dhenkanal in the next 24 hours.

As per IMD, there will be no large change in the maximum temperature (day temperature) over districts of Odisha during the next 4 to 5 days.
