As per the IMD, light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over several districts of Odisha in the next 24 hours.
The regional centre of the India Meteorological department has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in 4 districts of Odisha today. Going by the forecast, a yellow warning has been issued for Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati and Mayurbhanj where there are chances of thunderstorm.

As per IMD’s latest forecast, the minimum temperature is very likely to rise by 2 to 3 degree Celsius during the next two days. However, several districts will experience dense fog in early morning hours.
As per IMD, the cold wave conditions will continue for another two days. It is pertinent to mention here that the state is under the grip of freezing cold conditions which are continuing since the past two days.
In its latest weather bulletin, the IMD said, “Northwesterly/northerly dry and cold wind at lower levels penetrating over Odisha and under its influence isolated cold wave is very likely over some parts of Odisha during next two days.”
Get ready to experience foggy morning as the IMD has issued a ‘yellow warning’ for dense fog in several parts of the State.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that there will be no major change in the minimum temperature in different parts of Odisha during the next two to three days.
The Southwest monsoon has been active over Odisha and light to moderate rain / thundershower has occurred at most places over the districts of coastal and interior Odisha in the past 24 hours.
The IMD has issued a ‘yellow warning’ for heavy rainfall for the districts of Cuttack, Khurda, Puri , Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput. The warning will remain valid till tomorrow morning.
As per IMD, the intensity of rainfall is likely to increase as a low pressure system has formed over Westcentral Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood.
A cyclonic circulation lies over Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andhra Pradesh coast at 1.5 km above mean sea level, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday.
As per IMD, the low pressure area over northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining south Uttar Pradesh has become less marked.
As per IMD, several parts of Odisha will experience heavy rainfall activities in the next 48 hours. A ‘yellow warning’ for heavy rainfall has also been issued for 14 Odisha districts in the next 24 hours.
