Rainfall in Bhubaneswar
With a low-pressure area likely to form over Gangetic West Bengal during the next 24 hours, 12 districts are going to witness heavy rainfall on Friday, the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department, Bhubaneswar predicted.
The regional weather office has issued a yellow warning for heavy rainfall in 12 districts. These districts are Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Angul, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar. Sundargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Bargarh.

The yellow warning for heavy rainfall has been issued till August 19.
Day 1 (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 16.08.2024)
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Puri, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Koraput, Malkangiri and Nawarangpur.
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 16.08.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 17.08.2024)
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Bargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur and Jharsuguda.
Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 17.08.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 18.08.2024)

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, and Bolangir.
Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 19.08.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 20.08.2024)
