After the central universities accepted this proposal, students studying in their facilities will be able to perform studies for other course simultaneously.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued an important notice regarding the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) –UG/PG 2023.
The examination will be held from 21 May 2023 in 13 languages-English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
The higher education regulator in 2013 had come up with a core module syllabus for compulsory implementation of Environmental Studies at the UG level following the directives of the Supreme Court.
The enrolment for these credit courses would start from the second week of January and the date of registration for examination would be notified later
In its latest public notice, the UGC has asked Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to ensure the inclusion of external expert in the committee constituted for the up-gradation from JRF to SRF.
All the events should be amplified through local and social media platforms of the institutions. Reports with photographs and videos may be uploaded on the UGC portal.

The NTA, at present, is in process of inviting online application forms for UGC NET December 2022. Earlier, several representations were received from the candidates to fix the last date for calculating the age limit to apply for JRF.
UGC NET examination will be conducted from February 21 to March 10, 2023.
The application process for the CUET-PG will start in mid-March 2023, said UGC chairperson Jagadesh Kumar.
