The online submission of application forms for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG – 2023) for admission to Undergraduate Programmes will start tonight, announced University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar on Thursday.

Taking to Twitter, Kumar said, “The last date for submission of applications is 12 March 2023.”

In a series of tweets, Kumar shared details about the entrance examination.

"The announcement of the City of Examination will be made on 30 April 2023 while candidates can download their admit card from the NTA website from Second week of the May 2023," he wrote. 

The examination will be held from 21 May 2023 in 13 languages-English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

“Section 1A - has 13 Indian Languages; Section 1B has 20 other Languages; Section 2 has 27 domain subjects; Section 3 - General Test. A candidate can choose a maximum of 10 subjects from all three Sections,” Kumar’s tweet read.

“Examination will be conducted on multiple days in three shifts, depending on the number of Candidates and Subject choices. Candidates can apply for CUET (UG) - 2023 through the “Online” mode only on the website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in,” he added.
