As per the UGC, it is a challenging task to strike a balance between the preservation of art and livelihood. The process of identification of art and art forms, and connecting them with the higher education system is a significant step in this direction.
As per the latest notification, various schemes have been extended till March 31, 2024.

The Yuva Sangam focuses on exposure tours of the youths comprising mainly of students studying in Higher Educational institutions and some off-campus youngsters from across the Nation to various States of India. The last date to apply is April 9, 2023.
In 2022, which was the debut year of CUET-UG, 12.50 lakh students had registered while 9.9 lakh students submitted their applications. In 2023, there is a 41% increase in the total number of students who will sit for CUET-UG, said UGC.
These two ‘self-styled’ institutions operating in Tamil Nadu’s Kuttalam are allegedly offering various courses in gross violation of the UGC act.
