There have been reports that several students who were unable to take the CUET UG exam held on July 15 for one reason or the other. Though UGC has ruled out retest for those students, the Chairman of the commission shared what such students could do next.
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 started on Friday for admission to undergraduate courses in colleges. Around 14,90,000 candidates have registered for the CUET-UG.

A day after the University Grants Commission pulled up Odisha government citing violation of the Supreme Court's stay order on the Odisha Universities (Amendment) Act (2020), the State Public Service Commission (OPSC) announced putting the recruitment of teacher/faculty in abeyance until further orders.
The Commission has also asked OPSC and Higher Education department to refrain from any recruitment of teacher/faculty adhering to Supreme Court's stay order.
The UGC chairman has announced that last date for online application submission and fee payment has been extended to 30 May 2022.
As per the norms, the UGC shall not declare an Open University to be fit to receive grants from the central government, the commission or any other organisation receiving any funds from the Centre, unless the UGC is satisfied in respect of the infrastructural norms.
Over 10.46 lakh candidates have registered for CUET-UG so far.
