As per initial reports, while the body of the man was found hanging outside, his wife and 25-year-old son were found lying inside the house.

According to his roommates, they were asleep when he left the room late at night. Later, his friends and other hostel mates spotted his dead body lying in a pool of blood early Sunday morning. 

A farmer allegedly ended his life for not being able to repay loans taken to grow paddy at Khurusia village under Kamakhyanagar Police limits of Dhenkanal on Friday. 

The wife of Simulia block development officer (BDO) Biswaranjan Mohanty, whose body was found hanging in his government quarters on January 11, has been inconsistent with her statements. 

Shantilata had earlier reported the matter to the local police station seeking intervention. It is suspected that Alok ended his life following the ongoing family feud.

Rabi Singh was arrested and brought to Baripada Circle Jail on December 20. He had since been under severe mental stress. He was being counselled by a psychiatrist in the jail.  

At the time when her body was spotted, her parents were away at work. So the mystery behind the death is deepening.

The deceased originally belonged to Cuttack, Odisha.

As per the NCRB report, on average 17 people are dying by suicide on a daily basis.  

The victim was also a junior artist working in the south film industry.

The woman, identified as Aparna V Nair, 20, was undergoing her navy training at the INS Hamla in Malad, and she may have resorted to the ultimate step owing to personal reasons, said an Investigating Officer.
