ITI student falls to death from hostel roof in Rourkela, suicide suspected

A student lost his life after he allegedly fell off the roof of the hostel of a private ITI college in Rourkela. The incident occurred at around 2-3 am on Sunday, reports said. The deceased has been identified as Atulyan Jojo.

However, the circumstance under which the first-year ITI student went to the roof and fell down is yet to be ascertained. On the other hand, many suspect it to be a case of suicide. However, it is yet to be known if he died by suicide by jumping off the roof or if it was an accident.

According to his roommates, they were asleep when he left the room late at night. Later, his friends and other hostel mates spotted his dead body lying in a pool of blood early Sunday morning. 

On being informed, police reached the spot and seized the body while a further probe into the incident has been launched. A forensic team has also been deployed to probe the incident.
