Actor Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, best known for his role as stylish star Allu Arjun’s best friend Kesava in Pushpa movie, has been arrested for allegedly abetting the suicide of his girlfriend. Based on a complaint by the victim’s father, Hyderabad police arrested Bandari.

The victim was also a junior artist working in the south film industry.

If reports are to be believed, the two were allegedly in a live-in relationship. The victim’s father has accused Bandari of blackmailing and constantly harassing his daughter, which he claimed is the reason behind her taking the extreme step.

The investigating police team has also reportedly found substantial evidence against Bandari following which he was arrested. As per police sources, Bandari had clicked her photos and videos with another man. He was blackmailing and threatening her that he would leaked her private pictures online.

Unable to bear the harassment, the woman hung herself to death. Bandari had been absconding ever since her death. The police finally nabbed him and arrested him.

On the work front, Bandari was loved for his role as Pushpa’s friend in the Allu Arjun-starrer. This apart, he was also seen in movies like Pickpocket, Virata Parvam, Butta Bomma and Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu among others.

Bandari came to Hyderabad to finish his first unreleased short film, but eventually ended up becoming an actor in short films. Slowly, he moved to feature movies and found success. He is also going to play crucial role in Pushpa 2, which will release next year.
