Production at IMFA’s Therubali plant hit due to strike

Rayagada: Production at the factory of Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA) at Therubali was disrupted due to a strike called by former staff of the plant.

Demanding fulfillment of three point charter of demands, the striking former employees of IMFA sat in front of the main gate of the plant and did not let anyone to enter inside.

The plant authorities have announced a black out due to the agitation.

Meanwhile, an employee association of IMFA denounced the strike and said it as illegal.

The plant authorities said as the new agreement with the workers matter is pending before the Orissa High Court, action will be taken according to the directive of the court.
