Triangular Love Story Murder: Accused lover arrested from native place
Boudh: A day after a youth was beaten to death with a digging bar over his involvement in a suspected triangular love affair at Gulugulapadar village under Manmunda police limits of Boudh district, police today arrested the main accused and forwarded him to court.
The accused, identified as Subrat Bagh, was nabbed from his native village Pipili Pali, police sources informed.
Bhabananda Pradhan, Manamunda IIC said, “Subrat confessed to have committed the crime after his arrest. The murder weapon has also been seized and he was forwarded to court. The girl was standing 50 meters away during the crime and is an eye witness. However, she is not involved in the murder.”
As per reports, the deceased identified as Shantanu Kuanr of the same village had gone to the farmland Tuesday night to meet the girl when Subrat attacked him with a digging bar. Police later in the morning found blood soaked body of Shantanu and detained the girl for interrogation.
Shantanu was in love with the girl but the girl was in love with Subrat and had also eloped with Subrat once, informed sources.
