Seven students from a private school in Udaynagar, Kendrapara district, were hospitalized due to excessive heat and poor ventilation. Parents found the children in pain, while doctors stabilized their condition. The incident highlights issues with school facilities.

Authorities in Kendrapara have initiated a land measurement process near Bhitarkanika National Park following allegations of illegal construction by Swad Hotel, allegedly supported by Rajkanika MLA Dhruba Sahu. The hotel's construction on forest land has sparked local complaints.

The devotees are only allowed to get a glimpse of Lord Jagannath through an iron grille that has been put at a distance of 50 ft from the entrance gate. They only get the opportunity of Lord’s darshan during Rath Yatra.

The victims have been identified as the family members of Sukant Rout who is a resident of Madhuban village and a contractor by profession.

BJP leader Durga Prasan Nayak defeated BJD veteran and former minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak by a margin of 33, 526 votes. The BJP leader polled 1,09,653 votes in the election. 

The BJP stalwart held the massive Vijay Sobhayatra (victory procession) to express his gratitude to the people in Kendrapara.  

The victim's son Kunjaban Swain alleged, "My father was standing on the roadside. BJD leader Amar Parida ran his vehicle over my father. Some BJD leaders had earlier indulged in booth rigging and when I objected, they had beaten me.”    

Khageswar is now under scanner over allegations of distribution of cash among voters. The raid was conducted after the Election Commission of India (ECI) received such allegations against Khageswar.

Officials of the SST, IT, observers of the ECI, and a flying squad gheraoed the house of Khageswar Lenka, the president of the BJD's Pattamundai Nagar unit.

As for Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's fresh statement that VK Pandian is not his successor, BJP National Vice President and party’s Kendrapara Lok Sabha candidate Baijayant 'Jay' Panda said, “The people of Odisha know that the person (Pandian) has been controlling the CM, the BJD and the government."

On Tuesday, the senior BJP leader held a massive roadshow in Mahakalpada as part of the ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra'. Thousands of people and party workers attended the roadshow today.

A meeting of the Chief Minister was held at Barua. During the time, the Cuttack-Chandbali road was chock-a-bloc while a 108 ambulance and a private ambulance got stuck in a traffic jam. Three critical patients were being shifted in the two ambulances. Though the drivers and local people tried to give passage to the two ambulances, they failed in their attempts. 

The BJP organized a massive Jan Sampark Yatra in Kendrapara. Party's Lok Sabha candidate Baijayant Panda and MLA candidate Gitanjali Sethi took part in the rally which attracted thousands of party workers and locals from seven panchayats.

BJP's National Vice President Baijayant Panda and candidate for Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat, announced at a Mahila Samavesh that the BJP is set to form the government in Odisha with an 'Odia Pua' as Chief Minister. He criticized the current state government and echoed Narendra Modi's statement regarding the impending end of the BJD's tenure.

BJP's National Vice President Baijayant Panda, contesting for the Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat, led the Jan Ashirwad and Jan Sampark Yatra in Aul. Accompanied by MLA nominee Krushna Chandra Panda, the BJP stalwart campaigned across several villages to garner support for the upcoming elections.
