The researchers acknowledged limitations of the study such as relying on participants' recalling their behavior in multiple public indoor settings affecting the reliability of the results, though they took steps to minimise the impact. They also did not account for other preventive steps participants may have taken, such as physical distancing, the report said.

Information and Public Relations department said that of the 2603 new cases, 349 cases of infection were among the 0 to 18 years category. Khordha district accounted for the highest 444 Covid-19 cases, followed by Cuttack (205), Sundergarh (204) and Jajpur (133).
Khordha district, comprising the Capital City Bhubaneswar, reported the maximum cases of 513, followed by 291 in Sundargarh and 138 in Cuttack, respectively.
The active cases comprise 3.42 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate improved to 95.39 per cent, the ministry said.
The health expert however said that teachers and authorities of educational institutions will have to play a major role to ensure that COVID protocols for children are followed effectively in schools.
The second worst hit country in terms of cases is India (41,803,318 infections and 498,983 deaths), followed by Brazil (25,820,745 infections and 629,301 deaths).
The government said that the population with average age of 44 years were infected more in this Covid wave as compared to previous waves, and last time, the average was 55 years.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 10.99 per cent and the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 12.98 per cent, according to the ministry.
With this, the cumulative Covid-19 positive tally in the State has surged to 12,59,405 while a total of 12,15,380 people have recovered from the infection so far.
