Earlier, normal life across Cuttack and Bhubaneswar was affected following incessant rains that continued to lash since early morning today. As per IMD, several parts of Odisha experienced rainfall activities today.

As per IMD, a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the Northwest Bay of Bengal around July 16, 2023. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the same region during the subsequent two to three days, said IMD.

The IMD has also predicted that heavy to very heavy rainfall over Uttarakhand and heavy rainfall over Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh is likely to continue during the next five days.

As per IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall activity is likely to continue over Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Madhya Pradesh during the next two days and decline thereafter.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today predicted that several parts of the state will experience thunderstorm and heavy rainfall activities in the coming days.

In northwest India, it has predicted light to moderate rainfall across a wide area, with isolated instances of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand, east Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh over the next five days.

As per IMD, the monsoon trough now passes through Jaisalmer, Kota, Shivpuri, Sidhi, Balasore, and thence eastwards to Northwest Bay of Bengal. Several parts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm and rainfall activities in the coming days.

As per the IMD's forecast issued on Friday, the monsoon trough now passes through Bikaner, Jaipur, Guna, Satna, Pendra Road, Balasore and thence southeastwards to Eastcentral Bay of Bengal.

As per the IMD, the monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Bikaner, Churu, Guna, Sidhi, Ambikapur, Balasore, and thence southeastwards to Central Bay of Bengal.

As per the IMD, several parts of Odisha will experience thunderstorm and heavy rainfall activities till July 9.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms and heavy rainfall activities in different parts of the state from July 3, 2023.

In the monthly temperature outlook for July, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday said the monthly rainfall over the country as a whole during July 2023 is most likely to be normal (94 to 106 % of Long Period Average (LPA) and most probably within positive side of the normal.

A yellow warning for thunderstorm and heavy rainfall has been issued for several districts of the state from July 2.

As per the IMD, the conditions are favourable for further advancement of Southwest Monsoon into remaining parts of the country, remaining parts of Rajasthan and Haryana and Punjab) during next two days.

Active monsoon conditions likely to continue over Northwest, Central and West India during next three days. Southwest monsoon is likely to advance into remaining parts of the country during next 2-3 days.
