Mayurbhanj district the largest district of Odisha by area of 10,418 km². Mayurbhanj district shares it boundary to Jharkhand and West Bengal. Even the quality of the forest in the buffer zone at Similipal is superior to most other forests in the country. Mudhi (puffed rice) and Mansa (mutton) combination is a popular food in the district.
