Two little girls from Baripada in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district have brought laurels for the State by showcasing their dancing prowess in a national level online show held recently.

Seven-year-old Divyangana Mishra and nine-year-old Archita Das have have won the prestigious Junior Model International Rising Star of India- an online national model and talent contest. 

The online pageant was organised by Kerala's Kochi based Fashion Runway International and sponsored by Baby Sutra last month in June.

Divyangana bagged the title in senior event while Archita won the show in the junior level.

Divyangana and Archita will represent Indian for the world finals of JM International 2022 schedule to be held in Armenia /Vietnam/Dubai and Kids got Talent 2022 in Malaysia.

They will also be offered other exciting prizes and casting assistance for movies, TV commercials, print ads and TV shows.

"I want to thank my dance teacher because of whom I won the title. I love dancing and have been practicing since my childhood by watching television," said an excited Divyangana.

Expressing her happiness for achieving the feat, Archita said, "I am happy that I won the show in national level and will represent India in the international level. My aim is to become a noted dancer in future," the little girl added.

Earlier, the two girls were selected in Odisha Junior Top Model Contest 2021, organized by Odisha’s biggest Fashion Model grooming and Beauty Pageants Organisers, "Odisha Fashion Villa", on January 31, 2021 in Bhubaneswar.

Saroj Prusty, choreographer and the teacher of the two dancing talents from the State said,"Both the girls are very determined and laborious. They were very much interested in the dance talent show. I try my best to teach them all that I know. I used to teach them physically and after the lockdown was imposed, I started giving them lessons in online mode," Prusty added.
