Cuttack is known as the Millennium City as well as the Silver City due to its history of 1000 years and famous silver filigree works. It is considered as the judicial capital of Odisha as the Odisha High Court is located here. It is also the old capital city of Odisha.The remains of the famous Barabati fort are still speaks the history of the millennium city. Cuttack has a rich maritime history which says that the traders’ sons (Sadhab pua) use to go to Java Sumatra Island to do business and brings lot of wealth here. To recollect this history every year Baliyatra, a weeklong festival is being organized here. Cuttack is the birth place of Subash Chandra Bose. Cuttack has so many special thing to know like here the feeling of sahi -bhai (Neighborhood) is very strong .Cuttack Khati (where group of friends, or people chatting on variety of subjects) is also very popular .Cuttack‘s delicious Dahibara- Allodium attracts many.
