Though the exact reason behind the fire is not clear, all the patients in the ward as well as in the ICU were subsequently evacuated to safety.
Bhopal railway department said a technical team has reached the spot and is monitoring the situation.
Passengers reportedly pulled chain after detecting the smoke
The fire mishap caused panic as the surrounding area was completely engulfed in thick, billowing smoke, from the burning medicines and other materials, intensifying the impact of the inferno.
