The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Odisha due to a deep depression over Gangetic West Bengal. Mayurbhanj is under a red warning, while Keonjhar, Balasore, and Sundargarh have been issued an orange warning for the next 24 hours. Rough sea conditions are expected in the north Bay of Bengal along the Odisha coast until September 15 night, and fishermen are advised against venturing out till September 16. The forecast includes specific rainfall alerts for various districts.
